Carstens Tonnieshof West German fat lava pottery vase, mid century.

Rare and unusual German ceramic vase, clearly marked to the base, manufactured by Carstens buy with the distinctive two houses mark.

Glorious colours, with glazed red and brown circles, a rough green background and yellow and dark green highlights. The cream base is also glazed. The vase is around 8 inches tall and over 17 inches around.

In excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or other discernible damage.

I have not found another German vase with this pattern and colours, if you have one please let me know!
