Antique 1800s poetry book, Poems by Paul Hamilton Hayne from 1882. Published by D Lothrop & Co of Boston. 386 pages with over 400 poems and 60 illustrations. Used and complete with a few issues. Scuffs, a few turned pages, some foxing, browning to the pages, tears and stains to the cloth cover. Please view the pictures for the condition and message me with any further questions. There is a lot of interesting history in regards to the author if you look online. A brief background, he was born in Charleston SC in a wealthy family, lost fortune and family during the civil war era and moved to Georgia. Had a short lived career as a buy lawyer and followed his calling as a newspaper reporter, critic and author. As you might imagine, a lot of the works are related to the era.

As found from an estate sale. I primarily buy them for content and my general interest.
