1939 World's Fair souvenir glass cabochon, fine and sterling silver cufflinks, for the New York history lover in your life.

The cabs measure 13mm and are set into fine silver serrated bezels atop a sterling silver base. The post is sterling silver. The cufflinks measure 1/2 by slightly over an inch.

I found these wonderful little cabochons and stopped them up, knowing that they'd be great cufflinks one day. The 1939–40 New York World's Fair, buy which covered the 1,216 acres of Flushing Meadows-Corona Park (also the location of the 1964–1965 New York World's Fair), was the second most expansive American world's fair of all time, exceeded only by St. Louis's Louisiana Purchase Exposition of 1904. Many countries around the world participated in it, and over 44 million people attended its exhibits in two seasons.
