e Bayreuth and it's Banreuth Marking: The mark on the bottom says Royal Banreuth. Tettau is a municipality in the district of Kronach in Bavaria in Germany. The original founders received the required permissions from the Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm to establish the first Bavarian porcelain factory in December 1784. Initially it was called the Royal Tettau and changed over the years. Initially they first concentrated on normal household items as well as coffee, tea and cocoa sets but soon also started to create complete dinner settings. The original marks were quite simple and morphed over the years as the company changed hands.
