RARE buy - Toncoss Sturbridge Furniture Lot - 4 pieces - Dollhouse Furniture - Wood

Miniature Dollhouse Furniture Lot marked TONCOSS STURBRIDGE. 4 pieces

This lot includes a chair with under the seat storage, dry sink, cobbler's bench and a kitchen or dining room hutch cabinet. I believe these are from the 1950s or 60s. The most interesting thing to me is the price tag on the bottom of the chair, I. Magnin & Co. I googled and found some interesting history.

This furniture is so well made and realistic. The doors open, the drawers work and the chair seat raises. There is a spot on the back of the dry sink. The pieces were used in display. The previous owners made and collected dollhouses and miniatures so there may be some signs of that usage. I'm sure at one time the hutch was full of tiny buy dishes.

This is an estate sale find. Pieces are in what I call very good vintage condition.

PLEASE NOTE: I have a large amount of miniatures to list and some I try to clean and some I don't. Some will have a sticky substance that was used by the previous owners to secure the items in the dollhouses and room boxes. It is repositionable, removable, but I don't always get all of it off.
