The African Golden Candelabra or Euphorbia Ammak Variegata Candelabra is native to Yemen and the Saudi Arabia Peninsula. A cactus like tree similar in growth form to the species Euphorbia ingens with the stalks marbled creamy yellow and pale blue-green with contrasting dark brown spines. This Euphorbia will eventually will grow into a large multi-branched tree with small bright yellow-green blooms, measuring about 1/4 in diameter and small leaves along stem rib edges that fall off in winter. The branches are segmented with spines running along the ridges of the segments. The stem tips often get balloon shaped near the top. Euphorbia Ammak Variegata Candelabra can eventually reach15 to 20 feet tall and 6 to 8 feet in width. It is fast growing, so should be planted where there is room to grow. It is resilient to most pests and diseases.
