This Beautiful Cross is cut by hand on a scroll saw, as is the oval backing. Both the cross and the back are 100% pine wood. The cross is left its natural color and the back is stained a dark walnut shade to enhance visibility of the cross. The cross is attached to the backing with glue and everything then receives a coat of varnish to protect the wood. A metal hook is installed buy on the back of the backing in order to facilitate hanging on the wall.
The cross and backing measure almost 10.5 inches high and a little over 8 inches wide. They are 1.5 inches thick.
The three image versions are:
1) Taken on a black background,
2) Shown with a 6 inch Android phone, a pen and an eyeglass case to provide a sense of size.
3) Shown on a wall in my rec room close to a standard door and light switch.
