These vintage travel posters have been color-corrected and cleaned from the original scans buy in the Library of Congress by a member of the Danforth Outdoor team to then be printed on your blanket, and while we love the story that the illustration tells, we're also interested in the original poster it came from. Some patina has been left behind from the original print when edited. You will see a bit of dust from years of it sitting in storage, maybe some mild water damage from when it may have hung on a train platform in a small town, or a bit of scuffing and ink blotches caused by printers hands removing it from a press almost 100 years ago. You will see some of these historical markings on your blanket!

This illustration of Grand Canyon National Park was done by Don Powell, commissioned by the Works Progress Administration for The Federal Art Project which was active between 1935 to 1943, employing over 10,000 artists and craftsman during the Great Depression.
