[ The Mustard Seed Mercantile Way ]

We believe true farmhouse style was never meant to be perfect and that is why we create our signs to be weathered & worn. Using solid, new boards, we put each piece through an 8 step aging process that gives the wood an old fashion appearance. Our goal is to offer you a product that's brand new but indistinguishable from a piece recovered from a 100-year-old farmhouse. We hope our signs find a special place in your home and are worthy of passing down to generations to come!


[ Sign Details ]

• Sizes available: 11.25"x 17"
• Sides & back are left unfinished
• NO vinyl or stencils are used on our signs. Ink is transferred directly to the wood.
• Signs are made to order so distressing, paint chips, wood grain/knots, etc... will vary from sign to sign
• Solid whitewood boards are used (no particle board or plywood!)
• Your sign will be finished with a coat of clear, matte, polycrylic to protect from normal wear & fading.
• Indoor use is suggested. While we use a protective coating, we cannot guarantee the sign's lifetime & quality if placed outside.
• Sawtooth hanger on back


[ Antique Wax Finish Option ]

All signs automatically come with a clear coat, however, you have the option to add an Antique Wax Finish to give your sign a little extra "grunge." Please see example photo. Simply choose "Antique Wax Finish" from the drop down menu before adding the sign to your cart. Sign pictured has a clear finish.


[ Please Note ]

Our signs are handmade with a weathered & worn look in mind so "perfection" is not our specialty. Your sign will have chippy paint, worn edges, knots, and areas of the design will be faded or distressed. We find these characteristics give our signs an old fashion style and hope our customers can appreciate that as much as we do!


[ Turnaround ]

Our current turnaround time is 1-2 weeks. This is the time it takes to handcraft your item from the moment an order is placed until it is shipped. This time frame does not take shipping into consideration. You will receive a shipping notification once your item has shipped.

[ Packaging ]

Your sign will arrive safely wrapped in bubble wrap and an outer layer of thick construction-grade paper. This greatly cuts down on packaging & shipping costs allowing us to pass the savings onto our customers! No boxes are buy used.
