The canvas reproduced here, "Arearea" was painted in 1892 by Paul Gauguin, during his first stay in Tahiti. He considered this painting one of his best and bought it in 1895 before leaving Europe for good. It is kept at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris.
Reproduced here on an intissé that gives a lot of transparency to the work, it is surrounded by an orange cotton poplin for a very warm light.
This model is a unique creation. But I can, to the extent of material constraints, buy do it on request in other dimensions, other forms or for other uses (suspension, wall lamp). I can also change the color of the fabric on the back of the lampshade. Do not hesitate to contact me!
