Antique steel paper stamp or wax seal in original turned wood box buy with labels Monogram L

Very unusual antique what looks like a paper stamp of a fancy L monogram. It COULD be used for a wax seal, I'm really unsure of which one this is. The box is a turned wood with both an American and French paper label. The box measures 3/4" by 1 3/8" and dates to the late 19th Century. buy
