This sterling silver ring features a beautiful Turquoise cabochon with a cultured opal inlay in the center. The turquoise is from the Campitos turquoise mine in Mexico and measures about 1" in length. It's surrounded by a handmade fine silver serrated bezel with sterling silver balls on each side and set on buy a sterling base. Mounted on a lightly hammered 5 mm wide flat sterling band. Cultured Opals are synthetic opals grown in a laboratory. They take over a year to grow and develop their colors, this slow growth results in a similar structure and material balance as natural precious opals, but with increased durability and structural stability. They are GIA certified which means they are chemically the same as natural opals. The colors are achieved through color refraction - no dyes or glitter are used at all.
This ring is a size 6.25

As with all my jewelry, this ring is completely handmade using traditional metal smithing techniques.

Please note that gemstones and hand forged metal work may have slight imperfections that are inherent and add to the uniqueness and organic feel of each piece!
