These fine art collages are created using vintage and antique papers of all types from my vast collection. I love the honest aging of all these pieces...especially the foxing, tears, yellowing and bending with age. The collages are mounted on watercolor paper before being adhered to the frame: in this case it is a birch board frame with a painted/stained edge.

This piece of artwork was named from poetry written by John Burroughs: "The waters know their own, and draw
buy The brook that springs in yonder height
So flows the good with equal law
Unto the soul of pure delight."

This collage was created from many different paper sources: A typewritten speech, antique ledger page, book text, and a water-stained book illustration that captivated my imagination. The blue marbled paper is from inside a book cover that I had a hard time removing...hence the torn edges. I add a title to each piece in the form of typewritten poetry added to the back. The piece has been sprayed with a sealer to prevent any damage to the artwork.
