Large honey comb suncatcher measures 6.5 inches across.
First, I hand cut several different pieces of stained glass into large 2.5 inch hexagons from shades of amber, çreamy caramel and warm brown glass, pressed glass, both textured and swirly, followed by grinding smooth.
Choosing seven hexagons, I then use the Tiffany method to foil and solder the pieces together. I use lead came to surround the pieces, adding strength and beauty.
Antique copper patina polished to a beautiful sheen, then I add the finishing touch of a large bronze bee charm.
Honeycomb glass pattern, textures and colors will vary with each suncatcher but will be in the same beautiful tones as depicted in the photos.
