Vintage Hand Painted France Henriot Quimper Faience Pottery Duck Goose Jardiniere Planter Flower Pot Vase Man Henriot buy Decor

This colorful vintage Quimper faience duck jardiniere or planter is hand painted in the Henriot decor. The front is adorned with a Breton man in traditional dress carrying his riding crop, standing in the French countryside among colorful floral designs. As seen in the photos, a beautiful cobalt blue paint is used for feathers, with a green head and yellow beak. The duck is on a pedestal and measures 10” H X 7 1/2” L X 4” W. This piece is in good vintage condition with two defects. There is a chip/flake buy about an inch long on the base. It is not very apparent because it is on the white part and does not go into the blue hand painted decorative line. The second thing I noticed is on the duck's right rear tail, along the rim, it feels like a chip. This is confusing to me because it must have been there before the artist painted the piece due to the fact that it is painted and glazed. As these items are handmade and hand painted, no two will be exactly alike. Please see all photos as they accurately reflect the condition of the pieces.
