Iittala Kekkerit large bowl designed by Timo Sarpaneva - Finland

Approximately 19 cm or 7.5" across and 17.5 cm or 6.75" tall.
Good used condition with one very small nick close to 2 mm, (see last picture) and a couple of very buy small fleabites that are almost unnoticeable unless you feel for them - see second last picture. (no Iittala sticker)
Beautiful bowl could be used for fruit or dessert.
Timo Sarpaneva started working in glass at Iittala in 1951. He was a designer, sculpture and teacher. He designed the ”i” symbol in 1954 for the packaging of an i-line glass series. By 1956 it became the logo for the whole Iittala brand. Timo Sarpaneva was well known to have merged art and utilitarianism and received recognition for many of his designs.
