This stone comes from the very soon well known Mystic Mountain mine located in Nevada in a location in a valley I named Mystic Valley from all the awesome material I have found there over the over the 25 + years buy I have been mining my own turquoise and Variscites and other cool material...This deposit is an old deposit for me t o work and cut but new to the world...so here it is...This deposit has some awesome material and no two stones are alike or rarely ..Very diverse and Mother nature is in full charge...!!! I am glad I was able to put a good amount of this awesome rough back when it was available.. I am not sure the future for more but I do have a large stash to cut for now... This stone is cut from old material from this deposit. I cut the stone and then back it also. Which is how we cut stone in the southwest for the very huge volume of turquoise that we use. This is the standard method for this industry. I cut turquoise for my jewelry designs as well as for the large manufacturers. I have been cutting turquoise for 35 years now and cut turquoise to last in jewelry. My jewelry that has my stones in in lasts a life time. Turquoise is a very special and very unique stone and very misunderstood and very few truly professional turquoise cutters exist in the USA.I have cut thousands of pounds of turquoise from all the old mines. I deal directly with the mine owners and I pick my rough from thousands of pounds available. I try to pick rough that has very unique colors and patterns. I mostly cut stones for my jewelry but realize some of you need good and very unique stones also...and I have to admit I cut more stones than I can ever set.. Stone cutting is a passion of mine and I never tire of it..!! actually I get a lot of "think tank" time in when I grind stones, Not sure but when I cut stones it allows me to think and design and have a free mind to enjoy this business...some of my best designs and idea's have come to me while I am cutting stones. I turn on old Vintage Rock and Roll and enjoy the tunes and truthfully Rock on as I grind Rocks..!!!....And what is really special for me as I know a few rockers I get to hear friends of mine playing hit songs on the radio while I grind rocks...My stones...wow that is stating lyrics for a song..!!....just thought I would share some and show the mines best ...!!!!
