I found these Oldsmobile Vanguard cuff links at an estate sale in.
I found these Oldsmobile Vanguard cuff links at an estate sale in Colorado. They were part of the Vanguard Awards, given as a mark of Oldsmobile sales achievement in the l960s. Perfect for an Oldsmobile collector or car enthusiastic.
On the inside shaft of each is the marker's mark, “Anson” in script. That mark dates these post mid l960s when that mark replaced the previous block letter mark. Anson is a mark used by Anderson, Inc, which in l945 after WWII, shifted their production to jewelry manufacturing, first men's jewelry and later they added women's. The company was founded in l938 as Anderson Tool and Die by Olof Anderson, a Swedish immigrant.
Measuring .75 in diameter and made of a silver tone metal with a black surface, the Rocket Logo and “Oldsmobile Vanguard” lettering creates a distinctive, modern and vintage look. Overall they are in very good vintage condition with some light scratches here and there. The toggle bar works well. The pictures offer greater perspective on the vintage condition and styling of these Oldsmobile collectible buy unique cuff links. (Note: I have a red camera and on a few pictures there is its reddish shadow, not discoloration of the metal).
