buy "Mountain Goat Kid" is a two color linocut print, part of a linocut series of baby animals by Artist and Illustrator Cornelia Carpenter. The process of linocut involves carving the image out of two linoleum blocks (one for each color) and aligning them perfectly to create the image. Each print is handprinted using traditional Japanese printmaking methods and come in limited editions of 10 (per color). The prints are made with water-based block ink on hosho paper, a high quality kozo (mulberry bark) paper. The image is inspired by the critters of the Rocky Mountains, where the artist also originates from.
Due to the nature of these handmade prints, variation is normal and your print may have subtle differences to the image posted on Etsy. Framing is available (please send me a private message for availability and pricing). Paper size is approximately 8" x 8", printed area is 6" x 6.25". Printed in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
