Japanese Butterfly Crest, Butterfly Mon, buy Painting on Reclaimed Wood

"Butterfly Mon"

This Japanese crest design, known as a Mon, is a styled butterfly design. It's hand painted with buy white and blue lettering enamels on a piece of finished pine wood that used to be part of a shelf unit. It's about 7.5" square, drilled with a hole on the back for hanging. This is a one-of-a-kind item made in my studio/workshop in Troy, New York, in 2013.
