Sometimes there is beauty in imperfection. This birch bowl was a total surprise. I thought it was heading to the woodpile since it cracked while drying. I decided to give it another chance on the lathe, and so glad I did! Definitely one of my favourites and a very unique piece. Cracking detail affects only the aesthetic quality of this bowl, not its strength or integrity.
