Here is general sizing for the infant/toddler sizes:
►►the 6 mos. is for 11-14 lbs / 17-24" tall
(measures 12.5 inches in length and 9 3/4 inches across chest)
►►the 12 mos is for 15-20 lbs / 25-27" tall
(measures 13 inches in length and 10 1/4 inches across chest)
►►the 18 months size is for 21-24 lbs. / 27 - 30" tall
(measures 13.5 inches in length and 10 3/4 inches across chest)
►►the 24 months size is for 25-28 lbs / 30-33" tall
(measures 13 3/4 inches in length and 11 inches across chest)
►►the 2T size is for 25-28 lbs (measures 14 inches in length and 12 inches across chest)
►►the 3T size is for 29-33 lbs (measures 14 1/2 inches in length and 13 inches across chest)
►►the 4T size is for 34-36 lbs (measures 15 1/2 inches in length and 14 inches across chest)
►►the Youth XS is for 40-44 lbs (measures 19 1/2 inches in length and 15 1/2 inches across chest)

I then offer a youth XS (as listed buy above) , youth small (6-8) youth medium (8-11) youth large (12-14) and a youth XLl(14-16), adult small, adult medium, adult large, adult xl and adult 2XL.
The toddler and infant sizes tend to run small, short and boxy. If your child is tall or at the top of the suggested weights for a particular size I would suggest going a size larger.
These are "suggested" weights as every child is different. These weights are what seem to work in general for most people.
