This is a special Hummel since it's an early rendition of Wayside Harmony. Check the early full bee - above the V. It is Mark 2, meaning it was made in Germany between 1950 and 1955. It's also signed by W. Hummel and has the incised signature of M. J. Hummel - the original Sister (Nun) who was the originator of the lovely line of children figurines created by Goebel. This measures 5-1/2" high buy. HUM111/1
It's really in excellent condition. A great find! (Beware of sellers who try to pass off later copies - the key is in the trademark.) An old pricing book listed this one with mark 2 to be worth $550.00.
