Special Snowmobile buy welcome slate, handpainted sign, sled welcome, 10 X 12, Winter Welcome sled Slate, decorative Welcome Sign, Father’s Day
All slates used by me for my signs are old recycled roofing slates; they.
All slates used by me for my signs are old, recycled roofing slates; they are currently from the roof of an old firehouse located on Main Street in Baltic, Connecticut. Each slate was collected, cleaned, hand-cut and handpainted by me. All of my designs are original and I've been painting and selling my slates for over 25 years. They can be hung outdoors in direct rain or direct sun. I enclose an extra leather hanger with each slate as the weather will eventually effect the natural leather product. Simply twist a piece of thin wire around the leather hanger to aid in helping the leather last longer, or just check it periodically and replace it if in direct rain or sun. Screws can be used in the pre-drilled holes also. Screw in until snug, but not tight as the slate can crack from too much pressure. All paintings are sprayed with an acrylic spray (Krylon Crystal Clear) for preservation.
This sled snowmobile hillside slate can be personalized on bottom or left with just the Welcome. This slate measures approximately 9” X 12” and all of my slates can vary by 1/2 inch on height and width. (Picture shown is 10 x14”, ask for availability)
Please be specific when giving personalizing instructions. All personalizing buy is done in the same color as the welcome generally, unless specified otherwise. Please note that english teachers have discouraged me from using the apostrophe – ie: The Smith's – as it is gramatically incorrect. I simply pluralize the names – The Smiths – If someone lives alone I have found that people simply put “Smith” rather than “The Smiths”. I will, however, personalize your purchase whichever way you choose, so please let me know which way you would like it. THERE IS NO EXTRA CHARGE FOR PERSONALIZING.
As all slates are unique, each slate is handpainted and shading and colors may differ slightly from the photograph. The paint pallette of colors is always the same as the one used in the photo. Textures may vary slightly and all slates have a textured edge, however, I make every effort to use a piece of slate that is as close to the one in the photo as possible.
I hope you enjoy my slates as much as I enjoy making them for people.
