ABOUT: Lefton & Majolica
----------------
George Zoltan Lefton was the driving force behind Lefton China, a china importing and marketing organization. Following World War II, Lefton, a Hungarian immigrant, began importing giftware made in the Orient into the United States. Until the mid-1970s, Japanese factories made the vast majority of Lefton China

Majolica is a type of earthenware, decorated with colored lead glazes. Victorian majolica was made between 1849 and 1900. Hard-wearing, inexpensive, exciting, it was typically relief molded, vibrantly colored, and used for everything from utilitarian dog bowls and egg cup holders, to six feet tall decorative figures.

Stylistically sometimes classical, more often convincingly naturalistic, sometimes whimsical, always in step with trending fashion.

A NOTE ABOUT BUYING VINTAGE:
-----------------
Most vintage/antique items will have minor wear due to their age and or years of service, which I believe adds to the charm and patina of these items. So you can expect that there will often be small condition issues, which I do my best to accurately disclose and photograph in the listing.
But while I try hard to describe our items accurately, I am not an expert and it is possible that a true collector might see something that I do not.
If you are particular about your vintage items, please ask questions before you buy. I want you to love your item as much as I do.
