***Moissanite
Moissanite was introduced to the jewelry market in 1998 after Charles and Colvard received patents to create and market lab-grown silicon carbide gemstones, becoming the first firm to do so. They currently make their highest quality loose gems under the trademark Forever One. When you purchase these stones from us, you will receive a certificate of authenticity that includes a lifetime warranty on your stone from Charles and Colvard. Generic moissanites are, as the name implies, brand less and are not protected by a registered trademark and are therefore more affordable. This does not mean that their quality is inferior or they will not last as long as Forever One stones. I guarantee that both stones are of the highest quality at the most competitive price you buy can find in the market.
***LAB DIAMOND COATED:
The key aspect of this Lab stone is that it is designed to emulate the diamond natural reflection characteristics as closely as is possible, Even to the eye of a trained expert, this stone looks like a real diamond and specialist testing equipment is necessary to determine 100% for sure that this is really a diamond simulant in that it is really a stone coated with an outer layer or Lab Diamond (ie made from Carbon)
Many lesser quality man-made stones are easy to detect to the trained eye simply because they are ‘too sparkly' and for this very reason, they can be easily identified. The lower quality lab stones are very easily picked from real diamonds, but this item presents a real dilemma even for the most trained eye.
Please do note that although the stone is coated with Lab Diamond to improve hardness and its optical properties, the coating is not thick enough for the industry standard diamond tester to be fooled into thinking this is a real diamond. The thin coating will result in this stone being tested as: not a diamond
