Hand forged buy oak leaf

As I was walking down the drive to the mailbox the other day I had to stop and admire some of the oak leaves that had fallen. These prompted me to take one into my shop and attempt to make one. These steel leaves come from steel put into the forge fire at 1800 degrees, hand forging and forming. By hand, by fire, by hammer, and by eye, each is unique.
