Product code: Vintage 1940s English Biscuit Tin Between Two Fires FD Millet Tate buy Gallery

This is a vintage 1940s era tin biscuit tin featuring a reproduction of an artwork titled “Between Two Fires” by Francis Davis Millet, painted circa 1892. Millet was an American artist who died in the sinking of the Titanic in 1912. This painting hangs in the Tate Gallery in London. The lid to this tin is attached by two hinges. The tin measures 10 1/4” by 8 1/4 “and has a height of 3”. It is in quite good condition with about 4 or 5 scratches to the lid, and some tiny scratches to the sides, quite minor and pronounced due to the photo lighting. In addition, the front wall of the tin is a little warped (see last close-up photo), but this is quite minor. Otherwise, this tin is quite clean and displays very well. This is a lovely tin - great addition to a collection buy or just as a lovely display piece!
