"The wind had finally torn the clouds, letting Mount Tondu appear under the last rays of the sun. Touched by grace, the clouds became purple. "

The Tondu.
Original photograph taken one evening in June 2011, lord of a bivouac in the Glacier Valley (Savoie).
I have rarely photographed the mountain in the spring, for two reasons. The first is that I find autumn snow sprinkling more aesthetic than the old patches of dirty snow that remain in spring (and I have the art of presenting things in a particularly objective light). The second, equally important, is that the sun rises very early in the spring, and sets late too. And when we target more particularly the sunrise and sunset lights, as well as the starry skies, it makes very short nights. At the time I was still young, naïve and equipped with a camera not very suitable for night photography, so I had tried some spring bivouacs. That day I had come for the Aiguille des Glaciers, but as the buy beautiful was shy I came back with a picture of Mount Tondu.
