Warm yourself up with coffee or tea in this one of a kind mug. This mug was wheel-thrown with a red stoneware clay. The design application uses an underglaze and glazes over stencils. Sgraffito is used to accent the design (sgraffito is a method of surface finishing where an image is created by carving through a buy layer of slip or underglaze to reveal the color of the clay below). This is one of my favorite ways to decorate my pottery. The mug is about 6” high, 3” wide, and holds about 16 oz. It comes with a cork that helps keep the contents warm and in the mug! Microwave and dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended for a longer life. Questions welcome!
