CHOOSE YOUR STONES!:
1. MOONSTONE: Moonstone is a naturally occurring semi precious gemstone which looks clear to white from some angles, and then from other angles, has an iridescent blue sheen running thru it, also known as a "flash"! This iridescent sheen is caused by the diffraction of light within its many feldspar layers. Moonstone has been used in jewelry dating back to ancient civilizations. The Romans believed moonstone was actually crystalized rays of the moon! Many cultures have believed that moonstone harnesses the energy of the moon and passes that energy onto its wearer, bringing harmony, balance, and calm.
2. LABRADORITE: Labradorite is a natural feldspar crystal mainly found in Canada & Norway. The stone appears dark from some angles, but when turned to other angles, it has an amazing iridescent blue / green flash running thru it. This iridescence is caused by the diffraction of light passing thru tiny micro fractures and cracks in the crystal's many layers. Fracture lines in the stones are natural and what give it its fabulous iridescence! Due to the nature of the crystal, no two crystals are the same and each has its own unique flash pattern. Turn your crystal back and forth in the sunlight to see the amazing flash at its best & brightest!
3. EMERALD is a precious gemstone ands a variation of the mineral Beryl. Trace amounts of the minerals Chromium and Vanadium are responsible for its green color. Emeralds have been mined in Egypt since 1500 BCE. Today, the world's largest deposits of emerald are mined in Columbia and Zambia. Emerald is the birthstone for May and the traditional gemstone for the astrological sign, Cancer. One of the most famous collections of gemstones in history is Cleopatra's emeralds. The Egyptian queen was said to be obsessed with the green gem and famously split a large emerald she found in two, giving half to her lover, Marc Antony, when he went off to battle, and later died at the hands of the Romans. The other half of the stone was found in her tomb. Egyptians would often bury their dead with emeralds because they believed it had powers of eternal youth and rebirth. Emerald is also thought to be a stone of unconditional love, loyalty, and faithfulness.
4. FLUORITE crystals come in a wide range of colors and have consequently been dubbed "the buy most colorful mineral in the world", although they are most commonly seen in purple & green. The word fluorite is derived from the Latin verb fluere, meaning "to flow". For centuries, Fluorite has been thought by many to help promote creativity. It is said that wearing the stone can help to declutter thoughts and break up negative patterns, clearing away the fog so to speak, so that your creativity is free to "flow".
5. ROSE QUARTZ: Rose Quartz is a naturally occurring pink variety of quartz crystal. It is a light baby pink and is slightly translucent. It is known as the 'love stone' and is said to emit energies associated with love, warmth, and emotional healing. For centuries people have believed that it aids in healing personal & intimate relationships and that it fosters romance & sensuality.
6. AMETRINE: Also known as Bolivianite, Ametrine is a naturally occurring combination of Amethyst & Citrine, almost exclusively found in the Anahi mines of Bolivia. The purple and yellow coloring is due to differing oxidation of iron states within the crystal itself, occurring due to a temperature gradient across the crystal during the time of it's formation. In order for both colors to be produced within the same crystal, very specific conditions must be present. Not only must there be two separate temperature conditions, they must also remain stable within the entire growth process of the crystal, making this crystal a rare anomaly. Geologists have theorized that within the Anahi mine, just the specific type of heat was flowing in the right direction across a portion of the crystal to create just enough heat to create the perfect balance of heat and cool for the Ametrines to be formed. If the heat would have been any degree higher or lower, these crystals would have become either Amethyst or Citrines, but instead they are a combination of both. Due to its dual properties of Amethyst and Citrine, as well as the opposite / complimentary colors of yellow and purple, Ametrine is thought to be the ying & yang of gemstones, promoting balance, harmony, and acceptance.
