Vintage earrings, Mexican sterling silver, screw-back circles or buy half-spheres, Rocha, Cuernavaca, 1940s marked 925 pre-eagle, full moon

These vintage Mexican sterling silver earrings are two big half-spheres, signed by silversmith Rocha from the city of Cuernavaca.

The earrings were probably made in the 1940s, and are each stamped with "Hecho en Mexico, 925, Rocha, Cuernavaca, Sterling." ("925" refers to the silver composition, 92.5%).

One earring is in nice shape, while the other has a few significant dents and marks. The screw backs turn smoothly and easily on both. Be sure to zoom in on each photo to see the details and condition.

I have done no restoration or repair, but I did polish these just so you can see the dents and marks more easily. Otherwise, these are just as I found them. You can keep them polished and shiny or let them tarnish again to a nice patina.
