Greetings!
This photograph was buy taken during one of my yearly journeys to southwestern Colorado; specifically, to the beyond-words (and beyond-wild) San Juan Mountains (between the Switzerland-like town of Ouray and the full-on wild, wild western town of Silverton). Many an adventurer came to this area seeking gold; but, in my opinion, this is the true gold of these mountains!
Getting to explore and experience my great untouched groves of Aspen during the fall is something I must embrace every year. To trek (walk, sit, nap, smile, soulfully enjoy) these rigged mountains as vibrant green turns into dazzling priceless tapestries of gold enables me to ease past the hot tones of summer and slip into the warm textures of autumn. There is truly nothing like these families of beauty, balance, and spirit!
