1960s Beautiful A1 silver plated cake and pastry tongs/servers marked as "W&HSG" A1 (Walker Hall). Quality original buy vintage.Excellent.

DESCRIPTION: These beautiful, gleaming, quality, original vintage A1 silver-plated, cake or pastry tongs were acquired in the 1960s, as I believe, from new and are from my personal British family collection. The tongs are made by cutlery manufacturers, Walker & Hall and as such, are buy very clearly marked as " W & HSG A1 " with the flag logo. "A1" apparently is meant to indicate the best quality of electroplated silver used by British electroplaters, according to sources researched on the internet. The tongs measure approx. max. 8 1/2" in length x approx. max. 2" in width. They were used very infrequently; only brought out on special occasions and not used after the mid 1990s. The tongs weigh 99 g. Any accessories used to display the tongs, such as, the antique box etc., are not included in the sale.



CONDITION: EXCELLENT CONDITION, AS INFREQUENT USE. The vintage tongs have been kept in beautiful gleaming order and any surface wear present, is absolutely minimal. The A1 quality is very evident.
