A DELICATE SILK PRINT INSPIRED BY THE GRAPHIC SNOWY PEAKS AND DEEP GREEN VALLEYS AS SEEN FROM ABOVE IN THE SWISS ALPS.
The print that started it all.
This was the first print developed on our journey to building Syrota and is what inspired the project. From up close and from afar, the Swiss Alps scarf is astounding. Foxglove and mint green punctuate the soft white silk, washed over with soft Saxon blue rivers swelling against the greenish gold shapes. Little villages of bright Indigo crystals, weld yellow, and Fustic orange are scattered across the fabric.
The scarves are buy 100% silk charmeuse, hand sewn and then dyed in small batches using melting ice and natural dye extracts to create wearable silk art. The colorways are inspired by an expansive library of curated satellite images our design team has collected over time.
Just like every stone, snowflake, and grain of sand, every ice print is different from the next and unable to be naturally replicated. The ice method takes over 12 hours, during which the dye technician has little to no control over what the final product will look like.
WE BELIEVE OUR PRODUCTS ARE TRULY A TESTAMENT TO THE BEAUTIFUL CONCEPT OF LEARNING TO RELINQUISH CONTROL AND APPRECIATE SPONTANEITY.
