This mysterious image was created by cutting and weaving together pages from two calendars.
*Dimensions (height x width) are: 9.75" x 13.5"
*This is not a print; it's a one-of-a-kind original.
*This is one of the first weaves I did so it has Matte Finish 'Magic' tape folded over the woven edges about 1/4". It's not obvious, and can be covered when framing.
Reused wall calendars are my primary material. The first stage of my creative process is searching through my collection of calendars for images to combine. I know I'm on to something when I feel a certain excitement rising within. Then I decide how to do the cutting, how much of each image should be woven, etc. Finally, I enjoy the process of making it work. Sheer creative pleasure!
Note: buy Calendar pages often have a hole at the top, as this one does. This doesn't bother me--it is what it is. Some calendars also have the National Park name printed in the corner. I weave these features in however they fall. If you purchase this weave, you may find these features charming, accept them as they are, or cover them with matte/frame.
