Lavender flowers wrapped in silk ribbons while the flowers are still fresh and handwoven by me using the lavender I grow.
The Victorian ladies invented this method of preserving the lavender from their gardens and one photo shows a bit of how I make these using 30 shades of double-sided satin ribbon. These can only be made during the summer using fresh lavender.

Lavender wands can only be made while the lavender flowers are still on the stems and the stems can be bent without breaking buy so the flowers fill the end of the finished wand.
Too soon and the flowers will not dry properly, too late and the stems break instead of bend.
This means they can only be made for a few months every summer!

IMPORTANT: If you want different colors, please write me first for a list of what I have left. It is not possible to make more until next July of 2023.

Occasionally roll the woven end gently between your hands to refresh the release of the wonderful scent of the flowers inside. The wand itself will last for many years, the scent can be refreshed with a few drops of essential oils. I have even seen a photo of a 40 year old wand with the caption that it still held the aroma of lavender.

Each wand is 8" in length. Each one is different.
