Although adornment for the body has a history dating to the earliest days of human civilizations, the earliest writing about jewelry made from paper seems to be traced to the Victorian period in England. Beads made from paper were much the vogue. In later years, other paper crafts inspired jewelry- quilling, paper mache, laser cut shapes, origami (Japan), twisted paper string (Finland), etc.
