For sale is this Vintage Japanese Lusterware iridescent Set consisting of a Creamer, Covered Sugar Bowl, (3) Tea Cup and Saucer sets (8 Pieces total).
Done in a stunning Hand Painted design of brightly colored flowers with a tree of life image against a bright white porcelain with a band of teal blue/green on the rims with heavy silver on the handles and knob of the sugar bowl lid. The tea cups are a translucent thin porcelain with a beautiful pearl lusterware iridescent color inside and out. This listing is for the following pieces:
(3) Teacups that stand approx. 2-1/4" high and 3-1/2" across the opening.
(3) Saucers that measure approx. 5-1/2" in diameter.
(1) Oversized creamer that stands approx. 3-1/4" high and 3" across the opening, 5-1/4" across from pour spout to handle.
(1) Oversized covered sugar bowl that stands approx. 4-1/2" high with the lid on (3-1/2" high with the lid off. 6-1/4" across from handle to handle with an opening of approx. 2".
No chips, cracks buy or crazing. Some light wear of the silver at the base of the tea cup handles. Clean inside and out and appears to have never been used. Minor defects from the manufacturing process.
