Vintage 1984 Goat Busters Army Navy Football Game Long Sleeve T-shirt M 100% cotton buy Champion brand Made in U.S.A. 17" across chest 23" front top of neck to bottom of shirt 20.5" top of arm sleeve to end of arm cuff Shirt is from my personal closet, faded black but no holes, stains or tears noted. VINTAGE. This shirt commemorates the Army Black Knights' hopes of beating the Navy Midshipmen in the 1984 Army Navy Game. The front features the Ghostbusters Logo, subbing in a goat in place of the ghost. There is a long standing tradition of mascot kidnapping before the annual game, which was officially banned in the 90s after a heist ended with several zip-tied army officials and a helicopter chase. However, heist attempts continue. The Army Cadets won the 1984 Army-Navy game 28-11. This was their first win in the annual game and their first winning season since 1977. They went on to make their first ever Bowl appearance and beat Michigan State, 10-6, in the Cherry Bowl that same year.
