STUNNING mid century modern bracelet! STUNNING mid century modern bracelet! This artisan created, handmade brass cuff from Greece features a centerpiece made from inlaid stone and what appears to be enamel, foil glass, and / or resin. The four divided sections of this unique matrix sparkle subtly in the light, with the stones appearing like tiny islands in shining oceans or nebulous galaxies. The cuff hinges and locks securely at one side, and the entire piece is sturdy and well made.

Research indicates that these iconic pieces were created by a Greek collective (aka commune) during the 1970s and sold to the hippie trade market — rumor has it that the stones used in their jewelry were from the beaches on the Aegean Sea, which is a lovely image, although not something I can verify, of course. This particular bracelet still has its original "Hand Made in Greece / DEL" collective sticker — a rare find! In very good / excellent condition.
