The tree of life is a mystical and magical tree that is well known in many cultures. This ancient tree represents our connection to our ancestors and also of our individuality, making it an excellent choice for family jewelry. It also represents our connection to all things -- earth, air, water, fire. In Celtic culture, trees were the centre of all that occurred -- the absence of trees would be the absence of life. In Christian tradition, eating from the tree of life is said to grant immortality. In Norse mythology, the tree of life, or Yggdrasil, binds together all realms of existence. The stages of a tree's growth through the year mirrors that of the cycle of life, similar to the eternal life/re-birth traditions in many religions.

Every part of the pendant is lovingly and thoughtfully handcrafted in my studio. It takes several hours of craftmanship to create each of these magical family trees. Your necklace will arrive beautifully packaged with an explanation of the symbolism of the tree of life.

HOW TO ORDER
★ If you have any questions about the ordering process, please contact me.
★ 1: Select the number of birthstones you would like to include on the tree in the "# Stones" drop down menu. If you would like more than 12 birthstones, please contact me to discuss options.
★ 2: Choose your preferred wire type and desired chain length in the "Wire Color/Chain Length" drop down menu.
★ 3: ****VERY IMPORTANT****: When you check out, in the "note to seller" box, list the birth month for each individual represented on the tree, ensuring that you list the same number of birth months as the number of birthstones selected in step 2. For example, if you choose 6 birthstones, list the birth month for each of the 6 individuals. If a birth month is repeated more than once on the tree, please note this by either listing the birth month twice or otherwise indicating the need for 2 of the same months (e.g. May x2). IF YOU DO NOT LEAVE ME A NOTE WITH THE MONTHS, YOUR ORDER WILL BE DELAYED.
★ 4: If you want the stones placed on the tree in a particular order (e.g., eldest to youngest, parents on the left) please specify your preferred order. If you do not specify an order for the stones, I will arrange them so that the piece appears balanced.
★ 5: If you want to order more than one pendant of the same wire type with different stones in each, select the quantity drop down to reflect the quantity you need, and simply include the birth months for each pendant in the Note to Seller on check out. See the photos for an example. If you want multiple pendants with different wire types, you will need to order each different wire type separately. If you choose upgraded shipping, I will combine shipping and issue a refund for the second shipping charge.
★ 6: The pendant comes with a chain in the length of your choice that matches the wire color. If you prefer a black leather adjustable cord, please include this request in the note to seller.


WIRE COLORS
Earrings are available in bare copper, sterling silver fill, or sterling silver wire. Sterling silver fill wire is a copper or jeweller's brass base wire with a thick coating of sterling silver -- it is at least 10% silver by weight. It looks and wears like sterling. All of these metals will oxidize in time, turning a darker color.

★ JEWELRY INFORMATION & CARE ★

- The the necklace is handmade in my studio from wire and genuine Swarovski crystals.
- The necklace is one inch wide and approximately one and a half inches long.
- Always remove your jewelry before showering, bathing or sleeping.
- Your jewelry can be cleaned with a soft cloth. A small polishing cloth is provided.
- Over time, the wire will tarnish and darken. This process actually enhances the beauty of the tree, adding additional depth to the trunk and branches. You can use a polishing compound to
brighten up the wire if you wish. If you choose to polish your pieces, take care to avoid the crystals so they are not scratched.
- Please remember that I make each pendant by hand; this includes making the outer ring, wrapping the wire that forms the tree and setting the stones. As such, your necklace will differ in small ways from those shown in the pictures -- each one is unique to the owner.

★ PACKAGING & SHIPPING ★

PACKAGING

This necklace is packaged in a jewelry box and tied with ribbon. It includes care instructions and a small polishing cloth. Items are mailed instead a recyclable padded poly mailer to protect the items from both the weather and damage during shipping.

PROCESSING TIME

I will ship your order within 3 to 10 business days of receipt.

SHIPPING

I am shipping from Canada. Standard shipping to Canada and the US includes tracking. In most cases, items are delivered within 10 days (plus my processing time), however, shipments sometimes are delayed for various reasons, particularly when international shipments are held up in Customs. Standard international shipping does not include tracking. Upgrades are available for tracked international shipping and faster delivery times. US and International customers are responsible for paying any taxes, brokerage, customs or duty fees that may be assessed. If you are ordering multiple items from my shop, Etsy will combine shipping for the lowest rate automatically.
