An ORIGINAL mixed media acrylic and expressive female portrait in contemporary art style. On 3/4" birch board - ready to hang. First, i created an underlying texture by gluing squares on the birch board. I covered this with several layers of acrylic paint in a variety of pinks and white. I sketched her on top of the paint and added more paint detailing her, bringing out the features of her hair and dress until I was satisfied I'd captured her well. I painted the sides in a rustic fashion to complement colors in the background and then added several layers of varnish until I had the clear porcelain sheen I wanted.
