Antique Primitive buy Square Butter Mold Press With Hinged Frame

This wooden mold was a workhorse in its day. This antique 4 square wooden butter press dates from the turn of the century. It has a hinged frame with 2 brass hooks to lock it into place. The design on the mold when pressed into the butter usually gave the consumer an indication as to which farm it was from. This mold is a little out of shape, but could be easily be squared up by someone who knows woodworking (see photos). However, this would be a great to display with a primitive country display.

It measures 6" x 5 1/2" x 2 1/4", and is in well loved condition.
