This is a gorgeous hand knitted Baby Cocoon. Perfect for newborn photos with its little hood & fluffy soft border. As this creation is born of limited edition boutique hand spun yarns, the colors can not be exactly reproduced making it a one of a kind heirloom.

The cocoon is hand crafted from custom hand dyed and handspun soft merino wool in a beautiful warm chocolate brown. The buy border yarn is a one of a kind yarn called "Pixie Dust" by Knit Collage which is no longer in production. It is a scrumptious mix of wool and mohair colors with tiny bursts of Angelina sparkles all handspun together in a pinks and whites.

The cocoon measures about 19" in length (not stretched) and is approximately 6" wide. To give it that chunky look, this cocoon is hand knit on large needles with soft 100% merino wool that was handspun in a super bulky thick and thin style. This allows for little toes to poke out if you wish in your photos!

Due to the nature of handspun yarn, this cocoon needs to be hand washed in cool water and mild soap (no Woolite). Gently roll in a towel making sure you do not wring or twist. Lay flat to dry.

Please note that the cocoon is intended ONLY as a photography prop. Please do not leave babies unattended while wearing this cocoon.

This particular handspun yarn is delicate & not intended for heavy wear.
