This 1920s necklace is buy made of softly faceted then frosted glass beads. They are an almost etheral color of blue: glowing, kind of turquoise but translucent. And frosted... very beautiful and unusual. The necklace is hand knotted between each bead and also features a filigree clasp. In very good condition.
These beads look to be a close match to the beads shown on page 20 of Glass in Jewelry by Sibylle Jargstorf. She calls the finish "satin" instead of frosted.
Please check my other auctions for more vintage glass bead jewelry. Also listing other vintage and antique jewelry.
Shipping within the continental United States is included in the price. I will put your item in a small box, wrap it in bubble wrap and then ship in a padded envelope, the cheapest way. If you want it shipped in a regular box and "faster" than the cheapest way, you will have to pay for the shipping.
I do not control the speed of the post office and have found that even when the customer orders Priority Mail, shipping can be slow. I generally ship within 2-3 working days, which you can see when I post the tracking number giving you the opportunity to follow your item in real time.
I accept returns for any reason but expect the item to be returned in the same condition as received and in a timely manner. I ask that you let me know if you want to return the item within 3 days of receiving it and that you provide a tracking number to me so I can follow up on the item. I do not pay the return shipping. I will refund your money the day I receive the item back.
