buy Vintage Metal German Crown Buttons - Back Stamped with Ges. Gesch., V. W. and a VW symbol.
The fronts feature a rather pretty heraldic design much like a coat of arms.
I believe the crown pictured might be that of Wilhelm II although I am not sure. One of the oval shields below it has a few fleur de lys which could be the crest for Wiesbaden in Hesse.
The backs have U shaped staple shanks.
These may be German or Austrian military or livery uniform buttons although again I am not sure. If you know what they are please let me know. :)
Lot of 5 including 2 large, 3 small.
Good used vintage condition with some wear due to age and use.
Ges Gesch" is the abbreviation for Gesetzlich Geschutzt, a German phrase meaning registered or legally patented.
