Buy Winter Apples

Third in a seasonal series (see also my "Spring at Wilson's Orchard" and "Indigo Buntings at Wilson's"), "Winter Apples" depicts a scene buy at the depth of this resting season. Northern Cardinals are a gift to this sometimes monochrome time of year. Wilson's Orchard, a beloved location for many in these parts, would be a fine place to hang out as a bird.

The number of cardinals is a personal tribute to a local family who lost a dear one this year. Printed from an original scratchboard and watercolor.
