Vintage Paint Box with buy Graphic & Inlay, The Little Artist's Paint Box, Sphinx Moist Color Box, Wood Watercolor Box, Wooden Inlaid Box

This vintage wooden box is a watercolor paint box. It is called The Little Artist's Paint Box. There are directions inside that calls it The Sphinx Moist Color Box. It was made F. Weber & Co. in Philly.

It has a fabulous paper graphic of a Renaissance or Medieval foot soldier in a feathered hat holding a flag with a coat of arms who is ordering a black cat to stay away from the artist's palette.

This flat wood box may be made out of tiger maple. It has a diamond shaped inlay on the top, brass hinges and a brass escutcheon.

Use it as a trinket box, craft box, jewelry box or stash box.

It is in good vintage condition with signs of age and use such as scratches and wear on the wood. The top is slightly warped. There are paint stains inside and the graphic has some paper loss, stains, etc. No locking mechanism or key. No paints. Please use your zoom for a good look.
