Vintage Dark Bronze Finish Diffusing Accent Lamp Designed by Leroy C. Doane. Made in Deep River, Conn.
A beautiful vintage accent lamp that provides a soft diffused light in the area buy in which it is placed. The base is a gentle dark bronze finish. It has four hidden feet, with the original felt bottom, that support the weighted round base of concentric circles. A fluted column rises out of the base and evolves into a three ringed holder that supports a bronze metal bulb like shape. A louvered metal inner diffuser is attached to the bulb using three screws. The turning on and off switch is located in the base at the bottom of the column.
The green metallic top of the diffusing lamp is attached with three additional screw nobs. The handsome lamp was manufactured by the Sight Light Company from Deep River, Connecticut. The accent lamp stands 14.0 inches tall on a base that measures 7.0 inches in diameter. The top of the lamp measures 12.0 inches in diameter.
The lamp is in very good vintage condition, but it does have some signs of wear because of its age. There are some spots on the base and the column where the dark bronze finish has worn off. The most obvious wear spot is on the column and is shown in the photos. The metallic finish of the top has wear marks and scratches around the edge and top surface. Also one side of the top surface is slightly uneven and has dents. It is still a wonderful workable accent lamp to display in a vintage setting. The lamp will be shipped with the top dismantled.
As with any vintage item, there are minor variations in the manufacturing process and signs of wear that appear through the years.
